Vertical Garden Planner helps urban gardeners plan, build, and care for vertical gardens — on balconies, walls, and tight spaces. This Privacy Policy explains how Vertical Garden Planner developed by Rene Rueda Torres ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use the App and its companion website at garden2241.org. We wrote it in plain language because we believe you deserve clarity, not legal fog.
We designed Vertical Garden Planner to work almost entirely on your device. Most of the data the App uses — your saved plants, garden layouts, watering schedules, and preferences — never leaves your phone. Below, we describe the limited information that is collected or transmitted, why it matters, and what choices you have.
The first time you open the App, it creates a random, anonymous identifier that is unique to your installation. Think of it like a ticket number — it tells us nothing personal about you, but it helps us understand broad usage patterns (for example, how many people use the layout editor versus the watering schedule). This identifier lives on your device and is erased if you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
The App reads your device's language and region setting so it can present content in a way that makes sense for your locale. This is a one-time check, not ongoing monitoring.
To understand how people discover Vertical Garden Planner — whether through a search, an ad, or a friend's recommendation — we work with a service called AppsFlyer. When you install the App, the following is collected:

Everything you build inside the App — saved plants, garden layouts, watering schedules, budget calculations, preferences — is stored locally on your phone. None of it is sent to our servers. You can wipe all of it at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings, or simply by uninstalling.
Some network connections within the App may use unencrypted HTTP in addition to encrypted HTTPS. We mention this for full transparency, though the App's core content is available offline and does not depend on an active connection.
The App includes a built-in browser that opens this Privacy Policy and the Support page directly within the App, so you do not need to leave. This browser supports cookies (including third-party cookies) and local storage, just like the browser on your phone would. The built-in browser does not collect any data beyond what is described in the sections above — any websites you visit through it operate under their own privacy practices.

We only receive this information when you press "Send." We use it solely to answer your question or fix the problem you reported. The App itself does not access your camera directly — photo and video capture is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app.

Data transmitted by the App is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) wherever possible. We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information in transit and at rest. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Vertical Garden Planner is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please reach out so we can address it right away.
The App or its built-in browser may display third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them. We encourage you to read their policies if you choose to interact with them.
